Maitland Magpies coach Michael Bolch has announced that he will step down from his role at the end of the current season. Bolch, who joined the Magpies in 2019, has led the team to two AFL Hunter Central Coast Women’s League (AFLHCCWL) premiership victories in 2019 and 2022. In a statement, Bolch expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to coach the Magpies. “It has been an incredible journey,” he said. “I am proud of what we have achieved together, both on and off the field.” Bolch’s decision to leave was motivated by a desire to spend more time with his family and pursue other interests. “Coaching the Magpies has been a full-time commitment, and I feel it is the right time for me to step back and focus on other areas of my life,” he explained. Magpies President Chris Peeters praised Bolch’s contributions to the club. “Michael has been an outstanding coach and mentor for our women’s team,” Peeters said. “He has fostered a positive and inclusive environment, and his leadership has been instrumental in our success.” The search for Bolch’s replacement will begin immediately. Peeters said the club is looking for a coach who shares their values and can continue to build on the team’s success. “We want to thank Michael for his dedication and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” Peeters added. Bolch will remain in charge of the Magpies for the remainder of the 2023 AFLHCCWL season, which concludes in September.Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Chase Elliott are two of the most popular NASCAR drivers of all time.
