– The Erie SeaWolves salvaged a series split with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Sunday, winning 4-1 at UPMC Park. The SeaWolves (31-24) trailed 1-0 entering the fifth inning before scoring three runs to take the lead. Jake Holton tied the game with a solo home run, his second of the series, and Hao-Yu Lee gave Erie a 2-1 lead with an RBI double. Chris Meyers added an RBI single later in the inning to make it 3-1. Erie added an insurance run in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly by Eliezer Alfonzo. Beau Brieske (4-1) earned the win, allowing one run on five hits in five innings. He struck out four batters and walked two. Garrett Hill (0-1) took the loss for New Hampshire (29-27), allowing three runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings. He struck out five batters and walked two. The SeaWolves will begin a 12-game road trip on Tuesday, starting with a six-game series against the Altoona Curve.
