Over the past two weeks, efforts have been made to ensure hospital accessibility despite ongoing investigations. The hospital and the municipality of Nieuwegein appreciate the public’s patience and understanding. Currently, parking is unavailable adjacent to the hospital. Q-Park is actively exploring alternative parking arrangements for the foreseeable future. All efforts are being made to minimize inconvenience. Parking Garage Investigation
The parking garage remains closed for an investigation by the Dutch Safety Board. To determine the cause of the incident, independent access to the site is crucial. Therefore, entry is only permitted under strict supervision by the municipality. Valuable items have been removed from some vehicles under supervision, but only those deemed safe by the Building Inspectorate.
Car Removal Plan
Q-Park has developed a plan to safely remove vehicles from the garage, prioritizing cars on the ground floor in safe areas. This plan requires municipal approval and can only be implemented if the Dutch Safety Board authorizes garage entry. If all conditions are met, Q-Park will proceed with vehicle removal.
