Dang Wangi district police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Dellhan Yahaya said the incident happened at about 6.45pm when the 32-year-old victim was walking alone. “The victim was walking along Jalan Tun Perak when a man on a motorcycle approached him from behind and snatched his handphone,” he said in a statement on Thursday (Feb 16). Noor Dellhan said the victim tried to chase after the thief but was unsuccessful. He said police are investigating the case under Section 392 of the Penal Code for robbery. He urged the public to be aware of their surroundings and to take precautions to prevent such incidents from happening.
