Hastings Hotel Group Reports Strong Performance Despite Pandemic Challenges

Belfast-based hospitality group Hastings Hotels has reported a strong financial performance for the year ended December 31, 2021, despite the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The group reported a turnover of £55.5 million, up from £42.3 million in the previous year. Pre-tax profits rose to £12.1 million, from £7.1 million previously. Hastings Hotels Chairman Howard Hastings attributed the company’s resilience to its focus on customer service, loyal staff, and a strong balance sheet. “We are delighted to have delivered such robust financial results in what has been a challenging year for the hospitality industry,” said Hastings. “Our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests and our prudent financial management have enabled us to navigate these unprecedented times successfully.” The group’s flagship property, the Grand Central Hotel in Belfast, continues to be a key driver of its success.
