CHS Class of 2024 Valedictorian and Co-Salutatorians
The Cumberland High School Class of 2024 has announced its top academic achievers:
Valedictorian: Gabe Langevin
Gabe Langevin has consistently excelled in his academic pursuits, maintaining an impeccable 4.0 GPA throughout high school. As a standout student in STEM subjects, he has actively participated in the Math Club, Science Olympiad, and FIRST Robotics teams. Gabe’s passion for learning extends beyond the classroom, as he has engaged in independent research and presented his findings at various conferences. His exceptional academic record and extracurricular involvement have earned him recognition as a National Merit Scholar and an AP Scholar with Distinction.
Co-Salutatorians: Andreana Frangos and Cate Gregory
Andreana Frangos and Cate Gregory share the honor of Co-Salutatorians, each boasting an exceptional 4.0 GPA. Andreana has excelled in the humanities and social sciences, particularly in history and English. As an avid reader and writer, she serves as editor of the school newspaper and has won multiple awards for her creative writing. Meanwhile, Cate’s strengths lie in the arts and languages. She is an accomplished musician who has performed in the school orchestra and choir. Additionally, her proficiency in Spanish has led her to become a member of the Spanish National Honor Society. Gabe, Andreana, and Cate have not only achieved academic excellence but have also made significant contributions to the CHS community. They have served as class officers, organized school events, and volunteered their time to support various causes. Their dedication, leadership, and passion for learning make them worthy recipients of this prestigious honor. The Cumberland High School Class of 2024 is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of these exceptional students. CHS Class of 2024 Valedictorian and Co-Salutatorians: Gabe Langevin, Andreana Frangos, and Cate Gregory Carroll High School is proud to announce Gabe Langevin as Valedictorian and Andreana Frangos and Cate Gregory as Co-Salutatorians of the Class of 2024. Gabe Langevin, son of Lisa Langevin and the late Gary Langevin, has excelled academically throughout his high school career, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. He has taken numerous honors and AP courses, earning him recognition as a National Merit Finalist and a member of the National Honor Society. As a member of the CHS Science Olympiad team, Gabe has competed at the state and national levels. He is also an active member of the CHS Robotics Team and has been recognized for his outstanding contributions. Andreana Frangos, daughter of Alex and Soula Frangos, has also achieved academic excellence with a 4.0 GPA. She has challenged herself with a rigorous course load, including honors and AP classes, and has excelled in all her subjects. Andreana is a member of the National Honor Society and has been recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar. She is also actively involved in the CHS Music Department, where she plays the clarinet and sings in the chorus. Cate Gregory, daughter of Michael and Sarah Gregory, has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her high school career. She has taken numerous honors and AP courses, demonstrating her academic abilities. Cate is a member of the National Honor Society and has been recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar. She is also a talented athlete and has been a member of the CHS Varsity Volleyball Team for four years. All three students have made significant contributions to CHS and their community. Gabe has served as President of the CHS Science Club and has volunteered at the Franciscan Center. Andreana has volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club and has been a member of the CHS Student Government. Cate has been a member of the CHS Student Council and has volunteered with the Special Olympics. CHS Principal Michael Taylor said, “Gabe, Andreana, and Cate are outstanding students who have excelled academically and have made significant contributions to our school and community. We are proud to have them represent the Class of 2024 as Valedictorian and Co-Salutatorians.” The CHS Class of 2024 graduation ceremony will be held on May 26th, 2024, at the CHS football stadium.
