Sculpted by world-renowned sand artist Ed Jarrett, the towering structure will leave visitors in awe. The sandcastle, standing at an impressive 20 feet tall, will be unveiled on the beach at 4th Street on Thursday, June 29. Jarrett and his team have been working tirelessly for weeks, using over 200 tons of sand to create this architectural masterpiece. The intricate design features a medieval castle complete with turrets, battlements, and a drawbridge. Each intricate detail has been meticulously crafted to capture the grandeur of a historical fortification. Visitors will be able to marvel at the sandcastle from all angles and watch Jarrett in action as he puts the finishing touches on the sculpture. The festival will also feature live music, food vendors, and other family-friendly activities. “Ocean City is known for its beautiful beaches and summer festivals, and this year’s sandcastle will be an unforgettable addition,” said Mayor Rick Meehan. “We’re thrilled to have Ed Jarrett create this incredible work of art for our community.” The sandcastle will remain on display throughout the summer, providing a stunning backdrop for beachgoers and festival attendees alike.
