As part of a citywide modernization effort, the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) has partnered with Phillips Lighting to install LED lights on seven of the city’s most prominent buildings: * Carew Tower * Great American Building * Paul Brown Stadium * Duke Energy Convention Center * Cincinnati Music Hall * Hard Rock Cafe * Renaissance Hotel The LED lighting will replace the existing incandescent bulbs, significantly reducing energy consumption and operating costs. LEDs have a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, which is substantially longer than traditional bulbs, reducing the need for frequent maintenance. In addition to energy savings, the new lighting will enhance the visual impact of Cincinnati’s skyline. The LEDs will allow for a wider range of colors and patterns, creating dynamic and vibrant displays that can be customized for special events and holidays. “This project is a major investment in Cincinnati’s infrastructure and will have a positive impact on our city for years to come,” said Matt Davis, President and CEO of 3CDC. “The new lighting will not only save energy and reduce costs but also make our skyline even more beautiful and iconic.” The installation of the LED lights is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. Once complete, Cincinnati’s skyline will be illuminated with a vibrant and energy-efficient glow, showcasing the city’s architectural heritage and modern innovation.
