Gas Prices Continue to Decline Gas prices in the state have fallen for two consecutive weeks, reaching an average of $3.23 per gallon for regular fuel on Monday. This marks a decrease from the previous week’s price of $3.36 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). The average price of fuel in the state has dropped by approximately 15 cents since last month. Gas prices across the state ranged from a low of $2.81 on December 18, 2023, to a high of $3.76 on August 7, 2023, according to the EIA. Compared to a year ago, the average gas price in the state has decreased by 6%, from $3.44 per gallon. The average price of gas in the United States last week was $3.43, making prices in the state about 5.8% lower than the national average. The national average has also declined from $3.52 per gallon last week.
