A passenger in a vehicle was killed and the driver injured this afternoon (Monday) in a shooting incident in Sandfields – KZN.
Residents contacted the Tongaat Operations Centre of the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 20:27 to request assistance. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and upon arrival were advised that the driver of the bullet-riddled silver Hyundai Tucson had been shot and rushed to a medical facility. The extent of his injuries could not be confirmed. A passenger in the vehicle was shot multiple times and died at the scene.
