Why bet on FC Cincinnati?

It will be the game of the weekend. FC Cincinnati are second in the Eastern Conference with 45 points, two points behind Inter Miami but with a game in hand. They have 14 wins, three draws and four losses, in addition to scoring 36 goals and conceding 25.

They just won 2-3 over DC United, with one goal from Kevin Kelsy and two from Pavel Bucha. That’s two wins in a row for the team and 11 in the last 13 games. The remaining two games have been defeats, both at home. Playing at the QTL stadium has been their weak point, with five wins, two draws and three losses. They have done better when playing away.

Pat Noonan’s team has shown in recent seasons that, while not scoring the most goals, they are very strong defensively. Only Los Angeles FC, Columbus Crew and Charlotte FC have conceded fewer goals.

And while we’re on the subject of attack, we can’t help but mention Luciano Acosta. The Argentine, MVP last season, is having another campaign worthy of the label of best player. Of the team’s 36 goals, Acosta has been directly involved in 23, as he has nine goals and 14 assists, leading the team in these two aspects.

Among the injured players are defensemen Matthew Miazga and Nick Hagglund, while forward Corey Baird is questionable.

Why bet on Inter Miami?

Everyone thought that the absence of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez would have consequences for Inter Miami, but that was not the case. While the forwards have been at the Copa America with their national teams, the club has won all the matches. The remarkable thing is that all (four) have been 2-1.

Their last victim was Charlotte, thanks to a wonderful goal from Robert Taylor and another from Benjamin Cremaschi in the 86th minute.

With 47 points in 22 games they look down on the entire MLS tournament. However, they are only two points above their rivals and have a game in hand, so they need to win to secure top spot once Cincinnati overtakes them.

Additionally, their 50 goals also make them the most prolific offense. However, 24 of those goals (almost 50%) have come from Messi and Suarez. Where they need to improve is defensively, and a lot. They have conceded 31 goals, the worst mark among the top 10 MLS teams and the top seven in their conference.

Gerardo Martino will have many absentees for this Saturday. In addition to Messi and Suarez, Jordi Alba and Diego Gomez are suspended, while Nicolas Freira, Facundo Farias and Robbie Robinson are injured. The light at the end of the tunnel could be Matias Rojas. The Paraguayan has already completed his participation in the Copa América and will be available.

Latest Betting Analysis: FC Cincinnati vs Inter Miami

The last time they met was on October 7 last year in Miami, when Cincinnati won 0-1. The history of the two shows three wins for the Orange and Blue and four for the Herons. They also drew twice, once in the semi-finals of last year’s US Open Cup, with Inter eventually winning on penalties.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have Cincinnati as the favorite. Their Moneyline shows 1.79, Inter Miami has 4.10 and the draw is 4.05.

A titanic clash in MLS between the two best teams in the league. Although Cincinnati are not great home teams, they will still come out on top thanks to the many victims that Inter Miami has made. We’re going for a 3-2.

Go for a win for FC Cincinnati. If you bet $100 at 1.79, you will get $79 for a total payout of $179.
