The couple is being charged with failing to comply with PCAPS regulations, resulting in serious injury. They are facing additional charges for owning or harboring dangerous animals. The victims suffered injuries during the attack and are currently receiving medical treatment. The incident is still under investigation by the Peoria Police Department and the PCAPS Animal Control Unit.

Two people are facing felony charges after their dogs allegedly attacked and injured a couple in Peoria last week.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Robert L. Cady, 45, and Gabrelle L. Jones, 23, following the June 27 incident on Moss Avenue, near Bradley University, according to a news release from the Peoria County Prosecutor’s Office.

Several pit bulls, owned by Cady and Jones, were running loose and allegedly attacked a couple who were walking their dog.

Cady and Jones had previously been ordered by Peoria County Animal Protection Services to keep the animals confined because they had been involved in other incidents and were considered dangerous, the district attorney’s office said.

The pair are now facing charges for failing to comply with PCAPS regulations, which resulted in serious injury.
