  1. Brodie McWhorter
  2. Daiveon Taylor

Below you will find information about every player currently playing at WVU.

Brodie McWhorter

McWhorter has a chance to be a historic commit for West Virginia. A four-star quarterback prospect, he’s ranked among the top 150 players in the country in his recruiting class. If he continues his progression and does end up in Morgantown, he would be WVU’s highest-rated quarterback recruit since 2002, according to Rivals. Shortly after committing in June 2024, he publicly and privately recruited his cousin Bear, a three-star offensive lineman in the same recruiting class.

Daiveon Taylor

Taylor was the first player to commit to WVU’s 2026 class, doing so on April 24, 2024. The Pittsburgh native chose West Virginia over offers from Penn State and Pittsburgh. He unofficially visited Penn State several times, but committed to the Mountaineers about a year after he was first offered. Blaine Stewart and Jeff Koonz did the legwork to recruit the linebacker.
