There was celebration in The Wing as Treasurer Sam Pilcher (second from bottom right) returned from this year’s VisitEngland awards ceremony with a Bronze certificate, marking the Memorial’s success as one of the country’s top three visitor attractions.

Monument manager Jules Gomez (centre) is now looking for enough wall space to display the bronze award in the Small Visitor Attraction of the Year category, among the many other accolades that the tribute to the Few on the clifftop at Capel-le-Ferne in has won over the years.
