It will feature 48 glass-encased gondolas, each accommodating up to eight passengers. Riders will embark on a 15-minute journey, ascending to the apex to admire stunning vistas of San Antonio’s historic missions, skyscrapers, and the meandering river below. The wheel will also incorporate dynamic lighting displays that will illuminate the night sky. “This Ferris wheel will be a game-changer for our downtown and a must-see attraction for visitors,” said Mayor Ron Nirenberg. “It will offer a unique and unforgettable way to experience the beauty of our city.” The pier has been a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering restaurants, shops, and boat tours.
