Opened by Shruti Shibulal, CEO and Director of Tamara Leisure Experiences, the property in Kumbakonam is located in the heart of Kumbakonam and is just 1 km from the railway station and close to famous temples like Navagraha Temple, Kalgarudan Temple and Kasi Vishwanatha Temple. The hotel has 27 executive rooms, 13 premium rooms, 4 elite rooms and 1 suite. The rooms are designed to be large and spacious for families.

The hotel also has an 80-seater food and beverage outlet with a menu of local delicacies. There is also a banquet hall called Utsava, specially designed for social and spiritual ceremonies, with a capacity of 60 people.

“We have been investing heavily in the consistent development of new properties in the south and are currently committed to expanding our presence in key pilgrimage destinations. Lilac Hotels, the mid-market brand of properties in our portfolio, is well-suited to cater to the travelling families and large groups visiting these religious and historical sites. It is therefore a pleasure to unveil Lilac Hotels Kumbakonam as the latest addition to this ongoing expansion.
