Kerala Government Extends Support to Kuwait Fire Victim’s Family The Government of Kerala has announced that it will provide a home to the relatives of a fire victim who lost his life in a tragic incident in Kuwait. The deceased, Sajeevan Pulikkal from Kasaragod, was one of the six Indian expatriates who perished in the blaze that erupted at a rubber recycling factory on May 10, 2023. Expressing condolences to the family, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that the government would stand by them during this difficult time. He directed the District Collector of Kasaragod to identify a suitable plot of land and construct a house for the victim’s relatives. The Chief Minister also announced financial assistance of Rs. 500,000 to each of the families of the deceased. Finance Minister K Rajan and Social Justice Minister R Bindhu visited the family on Sunday, offering their condolences and assuring them of the government’s support. “The family had applied for a house under the LIFE Mission program, and steps will be taken to allot it at the earliest,” stated Minister Rajan. Minister Bindhu added that the government would strive to provide employment to Thomas’s son.
