The incident took place near the Dhoom Manikpur area of Ghaziabad when a speeding truck lost control and rammed into a group of workers who were sleeping on the roadside. According to eyewitnesses, the impact of the collision was so severe that the bodies of the victims were disfigured beyond recognition. The deceased workers have been identified as Rajendra (20), Sandeep (25), Pawan (23), and Vikrant (24), all residents of neighboring states. They were reportedly part of a group of migrant workers who had come to Ghaziabad in search of employment. Of the injured workers, seven are said to be in critical condition and have been admitted to nearby hospitals. The others have sustained minor injuries and are receiving medical attention. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the truck driver was speeding and failed to negotiate a turn, leading to the fatal accident. The driver has been taken into custody by the police, and a case has been registered against him. The accident has sent shockwaves across the district, and the local administration has expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families. The authorities have also announced an ex-gratia compensation of Rs. 2 lakh for each of the deceased workers. The truck involved was carrying brick kiln workers from Sonipat, Haryana, to Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. As the truck stopped for passengers to relieve themselves, another truck coming from behind collided with it, causing it to overturn. Four individuals identified as Mayadevi, Irshad, Najuman, and Shamina, all residents of Hardoi, were killed in the impact. The injured were rushed to a nearby community health center and later referred to the Ghaziabad district hospital. Nine of the injured were further sent to GTB Hospital in Delhi for treatment.
