Ralf Schumacher Comes Out as GayRalf Schumacher Comes Out as Gay Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher has made history by becoming the first F1 driver to confirm being in a same-sex relationship. On Instagram, Schumacher, 49, shared that he was in a relationship with a man. “The most beautiful thing in life is when you have the right partner by your side, with whom you can share everything,” he wrote. Schumacher, who raced in Formula 1 from 1997 to 2007, won six Grand Prix races. He was previously married to Cora Schumacher for 14 years before they split in 2015. They have a son together named David. Michael Schumacher, Ralf’s brother and seven-time Formula 1 champion, has not been seen in public since suffering serious brain injuries in a skiing accident in 2013. Ralf’s announcement has been met with support from the F1 community and beyond. It is seen as a significant milestone in LGBTQ+ representation in sports.

Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher has come out as gay.

Ralf, the brother of seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher, shared on Instagram that he was in a relationship with a man.

“The most beautiful thing in life is when you have the right partner by your side, with whom you can share everything,” he wrote.

Ralf, 49, is the first F1 driver to confirm he is in a same-sex relationship.

From 1997 to 2007 he was a Formula 1 driver and won six Grand Prix races.

He was previously married to Cora Schumacher, a former Playboy model and former GQ cover star, for 14 years before the couple split in 2015. They have a son together, David.

Michael Schumacher has not been seen in public since he suffered serious brain injuries in a skiing accident in the French Alps in 2013.
