The Once Human Carnival of Doom puzzle requires you to somehow escape the hellish toy dimension that Chuckles the Clown has trapped you in, just because you dared to touch a cursed revolver. This task, which you can begin in the Junkyard area of the Broken Delta, is a little confusing, especially if you miss any dialogue or subtitles explaining what’s going on in the first place, but thankfully it’s actually very quick and easy to complete. Below, I’ve outlined what you need to do to escape the Carnival of Doom in Once Human.

To escape Chuckles’ rigged game of Russian Roulette, you’ll need to figure out who’s making sure you die every time the revolver fires. Here’s how:
- Don’t talk to Chuckles, but instead press Q to activate your space-time vision. This highlights a cable running from the table to the other side of this strange toy dimension.

- Follow the cable to the wall. Although it’s not entirely clear, the dialogue will reveal that there’s someone else behind the wall messing up the game.
- Talk to Chuckles and tell him you need some fresh air. He will open the big red door across from him.
- Go left through the door, then left again until you find a second Chuckles by a console, then chop him up with your melee weaponYou’re not allowed to use non-melee weapons here, so make sure you’re prepared for a fistfight.

- Investigate the roulette fraud device.
- Go back to Chuckles and take on the roulette challenge. Your only choice is to pull the trigger, so do that next.

In the cutscene that follows, your Meta-Human character will cap Chuckles, turning him into a toy as well. A Voodoo Doll Deviation will also appear, allowing you to save him for yourself. The Voodoo Doll can absorb some of the damage for you, or you can aim it at an enemy, causing the enemy to take some of the damage you take.
Confusingly, this Carnival of Doom task in Once Human isn’t even the only place you can get the Voodoo Doll. I found another one in the Once Human Sunbury High School area, which is also where you can complete the “A Gift Overdue” task.
