MOORPARK, California., July 14, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Quantum-Systems Inc., a leader in electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) solutions, today announced it has been awarded two contracts under DEF129-SUAS, formerly known as Land 129 Phase 4Bin total AUD $90 millionThe prize, signed April 24, 2024 in Brisbane, Queenslandconsists of an acquisition contract to provide the Australian Defence Force (ADF) with Vector/Scorpion 2-in-1 fixed-wing eVTOL small uncrewed aerial systems (SUAS) and a support contract to provide training, maintenance, engineering, supply and logistics, and support services. Delivery commences April 2025 with supporting services continuing until 2031.

Vector eVTOL sUAS provides Australian Army combat teams with enhanced situational awareness and protection.

The acquisition and support contracts will include significant work and delivery elements to be performed by Quantum-Systems Australia in Redbank, Queenslandwhich provides in-country capacity for contract execution and contribution to the local economy with a focus on supporting Indigenous enterprises, SMEs and entities that promote veteran employment. Quantum-Systems Australia recently opened its 22,755 square foot manufacturing facility in March 2024which indicates a long-term commitment Australia and commitment to advancing the creation, enhancement and maintenance of Australia’s industrial capabilities. The company estimates that up to 50 new technical, manufacturing and administrative jobs will be created for the area over the next five years to support its broader business growth plan in the Asia Pacific region.
