Bargain Garden Parasol Offers Shade and Style for Summery DaysBargain Garden Parasol Offers Shade and Style for Summery Days With summer’s arrival, many are eager to enjoy the outdoors. Dunelm offers a solution with its Shanghai Cantilever Parasol, marked down from £99 to £49.50. The stylish parasol, available in a vibrant blue shade, is designed as a “sun protection best friend.” Its 3-meter metal, polyester, and plastic construction provides shade during barbecues and gatherings. The handy handle allows for easy setup and take-down, making it convenient for storage when the summer season ends. Customers have praised the parasol’s sturdiness, value for money, and ease of assembly. However, some have expressed disappointment with the color, finding it more forest green than peacock green. It’s important to note that the parasol requires quarter-weights (not included) for stability. Dunelm offers a set of 2 Leanover Quarter Parasol Water Weights at a discounted price of £20. Those seeking a larger parasol can consider Amazon’s 3m Cantilever Parasol Umbrella for £79.97 or Argos’s 2m parasol for a more budget-friendly £35.

With a summer that’s been wetter than we might have liked, many Brits will be taking any chance they can to get out into the garden as soon as the weather clears up. And with dry, sunny spells expected over the coming weeks, we’ve found a bargain-priced parasol that’s perfect for creating a cosy seating area.

The Shanghai Cantilever Parasol was originally £99 but has been reduced to a more wallet-friendly £49.50 as part of Dunelm’s summer sale. The stylish parasol, described by Dunelm as ‘your new best friend in sun protection’, comes in a vibrant shade of blue, perfect for brightening up your outdoor space

The 3m garden parasol is made from metal, polyester and plastic, perfect for providing shade during those long-awaited summer BBQs. Thanks to the handy handle that allows you to set it up and take it down in seconds, it is also easy to pack away once the summer season is over, and can be tucked away in the corner of a garage or shed, ready for the next sunny spell, reports OK.

The parasol has certainly made a big impression on customers who have already had it in their hands. One satisfied customer raved: “I love it, it’s really sturdy with the weights on it. Easy to assemble, great value for money.”

Another reviewer said: “Really pleased with the parasol, very sturdy and well made, love the colour and the price was good.” While a third added: “Easy to put together, easy to use. Only downside is the colour, not as peacock-like as the egg chair I bought from you, more green than blue! Really good price, delivery was excellent but all in all it does what it says on the tin!”

However, not all feedback was positive. One less-than-impressed customer noted, “Works great, just disappointed with the color! It was described as a peacock green/teal color. It just looks like a boring forest green garden umbrella.”

It is worth noting, however, that you will need to pick up four quarter-weights to get it to stand upright without falling over. Another unhappy customer complained, “It wouldn’t stand on its own, falls over.”

Luckily, you can also pick these up over at Dunelm, with the Set of 2 Leanover Quarter Parasol Water Weights also half price, reduced from £40 to £20 here . Alternatively, you can pick up a more expensive 3m Cantilever Parasol Umbrella for £79.97 over at Amazon here . Alternatively, Argos also offers a more pocket-friendly 2m parasol for £35 here .
