Wow! It’s stuffy outside!Wow! It’s stuffy outside! We had a wonderfully successful cake/bake sale on July 2nd despite the heat and humidity. A big thank you to our bakers, supporters, and volunteers. We couldn’t do it without all your very generous help. As you know, we held a Lobster Raffle in June, and the winning name was drawn on July 2nd. Congratulations to our friend Alice Grant! Don’t worry; even though this lobster raffle has ended, we will be holding another one next week. I will keep you posted on the details. The drawing will be on August 29th, so there are many more chances to win 10 free lobsters, generously donated by our friends at Atlantic Edge Lobsters. And don’t forget that our wonderful Lucy Cressey will be available on Saturday, July 20th, to help you find your family history here in the Community Center. Fresh vegetables arrive on Friday morning. The vegetables are very generously donated by Town Village Foodbank Farm and Veggies to Table. Get your bag ready to go on Friday mornings until 2 pm in the summer! Here is our schedule for July 15 – July 20: Monday, July 15: Drop-in knitting from 10 am to 12 pm; Inner Peace 1:00-2:00 PM Tuesday, July 16: Mahjongg 10.00-12.30 hrs Wednesday, July 17: Cribbage 12:30-14:00 Thursday, July 18: Mexican Train Domino’s and Cribbage 10 am-12 pm; Bingo! 11 am-1 pm Friday, July 19: Scrabble and Rummikub 12:00-14:00 Saturday, July 20: Find your family 9 am-1 pm Puzzles, coffee, tea, treats, and good company are available all week. Please spare us from eating too many treats by coming in and sharing our snacks. And we always welcome new faces and fresh ideas!
