Americans Strongly Oppose Health Care Policies in Project 2025Americans Strongly Oppose Health Care Policies in Project 2025 According to a new survey conducted by Navigator, 83% of Americans oppose removing protections for people with pre-existing conditions, as proposed in Project 2025, a conservative blueprint for a second Trump term. Additionally, 81% oppose instituting a new tax on health insurance for people insured through their employers, and 80% oppose banning Medicare from negotiating lower rates and eliminating the $35 monthly insulin cap. Biden and Democrats Seen as More Familiar with Health Care This poll follows a series of recent Navigator polls showing that Americans believe President Biden and Democrats are more familiar with healthcare issues. Voters also overwhelmingly support the Inflation Reduction Act and Democratic efforts to reduce healthcare costs, such as giving Medicare the power to negotiate lower prices for prescription drugs and providing free vaccines. Project 2025 Seen as Benefitting Wealthy Americans Navigator’s results indicate that Americans believe Project 2025 will primarily benefit the wealthiest Americans, CEOs, and corporations. It is perceived as negatively impacting all other groups, including small businesses and the middle class.

In addition, voters have overwhelming support the Inflation Reduction Act and the Democratic attempts to reduce health care costs. This includes giving Medicare the power to negotiate lower prices for prescription drugs, capping the cost of insulin, and providing free vaccines.


Today’s Navigator results also show that Americans believe Project 2025 will only benefit the wealthiest Americans, CEOs and corporations. It will negatively impact all other groups, such as small businesses and the middle class.
