The facility’s inception dates back to 2012, with its building permit approved in 2021. In an interview with Shannonside News, the Sinn Féin TD stressed the need to ensure that the building would not remain vacant in Ballaghaderreen.

This comes after the developer accepted the terms of the acceptance letter last week, ahead of the end-June deadline.

According to Representative Kerrane, it is now vital that the centre moves to the next phase of development and that services are in place as quickly as possible.
The first plans for the health facility date back to 2012 and the building permit for the project was granted in 2021.
