The call initially reported a car crashed with at least one person possibly pinned in the vehicle, police said. A man and woman were in the car during the wreck.

A woman who was a passenger in the car died from injuries she suffered in the crash, according to police. Her name was not released Monday night.

Meanwhile, Lee Grubb, 67, of Smithfield was cited for exceeding the speed limit and failure to maintain lane control, the news release said.

No other information was released by the police.
