But lunch with fellow Repository reporter Grace Springer proved to be a delightful way to enjoy good food and catch up. We imagined the electric atmosphere during big games as we enjoyed our meal. Our waitress, Michelle, friendly and efficient, made our visit even more enjoyable. She has previous experience as a waitress, having been a waitress at Jerzee’s for four years. Before joining the catering department, she was a kindergarten teacher.

The sports-themed menu offers a variety of specials in addition to the daily items. As a VIP at Jerzee’s, you’ll receive exclusive event updates, secret menus, special offers and loyalty rewards.

We started our meal with the Mexican Street Corn Dip ($10.99), a deconstructed Mexican street corn sprinkled with tajin (a spice blend of mild chiles, lime, and sea salt) and Southwestern Spring Rolls ($10.99) served with chipotle ranch for dipping. While the dip was delicious, the spring rolls, bursting with flavor and complemented by the chipotle ranch, were the highlight.

Other tempting appetizers include fried mozzarella ($9.99), chicken ($12.49) or steak quesadilla ($13.49) and the touchdown platter ($16.99), a selection of mozzarella sticks, potato skins, chicken strips, onion rings and fries served with dipping sauces. The white queso loaded nachos are also a customer favorite, with options including cheese ($12.99), chicken or beef ($15.99) or steak ($16.99).

For my entree, I chose six jumbo traditional, bone-in, wings ($9.99) with the award-winning Erie Island Rub. I added celery and ranch for a small upcharge, and went with honey garlic for the sauce. My choices were about medium in heat, with sauces ranging from BBQ (mild) to Intense Madness, with everything in between.

The wings were juicy and generously drizzled with sauce, making for a messy but delicious experience. Jerzee’s also offers boneless wings and a wing sampler platter for variety.

Grace opted for the MVP Burger with fries, Tuesday’s special for $7.99 (regularly $14.99) with a drink. Topped with a fried egg, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar cheese, it was a hearty and satisfying burger, despite the slightly overcooked egg.

Jerzee’s weekday specials, Monday through Thursday, include deals on wings, burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, and pizza. The extensive menu ensures there’s something for everyone, from salads and sandwiches to entrees like New York strip steak or stir fry bowls. A Little League kids’ menu is also available.

Overall, our lunch at Jerzee’s was enjoyable, with generous portions and an extensive menu. On my next visit, I might try the fried corn on the cob wedge ($10.99), a lightly smoked, breaded corn on the cob, and the junkyard dog ($10.99), a quarter-pound all-beef hot dog with bacon habanero jam, mixed cheese, and crispy onion rings served with a classic side dish.
