Joe Swash and Emma Sophocleous’s Custody BattleJoe Swash and Emma Sophocleous’s Custody Battle Joe Swash, currently married to Stacey Solomon, recently opened up about the challenging three-year custody battle he faced over his son Harry with his ex-fiancée, Emma Sophocleous. According to Sophocleous, Swash ended their relationship due to her dislike of nightclubs and her role as a “boring mum.” Swash, now 42, maintains that they parted ways amicably for their son’s well-being. The custody battle, which concluded in 2008, was a difficult time for Harry, who was seven months old at the time. Swash expressed regret for the pain his son experienced during that period. Despite the challenges, Swash emphasized the strong bond he shares with his son today. They stay in frequent contact and see each other regularly. Swash prioritizes their relationship above all else and considers the money he spent on the custody battle to be his best investment.

Joe Swash has spoken openly about the court battle over his son Harry after his relationship with ex-fiancée Emma Sophocleous ended. Joe was with Emma for three years and the party planner accused him of dumping her in favour of clubbing, telling The News Of The World: “My only fault is that I didn’t like nightclubs and I’m a ‘boring mum’.”

But Joe, now 42, insisted they had fallen out and decided to part ways as “amicably as possible” for the sake of their son. Their relationship ended in 2008, seven months after Harry, who turns 18 later this month, was born.

Joe, who is now married to Stacey Solomon and shares three children with her – Rex, Rose and Belle – recently spoke candidly about his son Harry’s three-year custody battle. “With Harry and I, it was tough with his mother,” Swash said on the Step Life podcast last year.

“We had to go to court and stuff like that. So in retrospect it’s great. But it was a strange time for Hal, he had to adjust a lot. I really feel sorry for Hal for what he had to go through.”

Joe, who recently shared rare photos with Harry as he revealed he was doing work experience at his agency, added: “It’s just one of those things, his mum and I didn’t agree on certain things and we had to go to court. We had to do it that way. And that’s what court is for, to sort things out. And it (did). It’s changed our lives.”

He said his bond with his son was strong and that they were “in each other’s lives every day now”. Joe added: “We talk every day, we see each other every few days, he only lives 20 minutes away from me.

“You know, I always told my mother when I was in court fighting for Hal that I wouldn’t spend my money on anything other than seeing my child. And it’s the best money I’ve ever spent.”
