In Memoriam: Michele “Mickey” Batz AndersonIn Memoriam: Michele “Mickey” Batz Anderson It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Michele “Mickey” Batz Anderson on March 28, 2024. Mickey was a beloved resident of Novato and Marin County. Mickey’s journey began at Tam High School, where she embarked upon her career path after answering an ad from PacBell that promised a free toaster with her application. Little did she know that both the toaster and the job would become defining moments in her life. For three decades, Mickey dedicated herself to PacBell, eventually becoming known as “Ma Bell” in the fleet vehicle operations department. Upon retiring, Mickey’s boundless energy and zest for life led her to pursue various part-time roles. She enjoyed being a secret shopper, delivering sausages, and selling eggs. Mickey was also an active member of the Novato Women’s Group and the Senior LGBT Social Committee. Outside of work, Mickey embraced her passions with unwavering enthusiasm. She could often be found at garage sales and on Craigslist, where her keen eye for a good deal was legendary. Motorcycles, tinkering, and barbequing brought her immense joy. But her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her loved ones, sharing laughter, and living life to the fullest. Mickey is survived by her beloved wife, Anna, as well as her family and a vast network of friends who will forever cherish her memory. She was a true renaissance woman whose spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed. A celebration of Mickey’s life will be held on her birthday.
